It’s true, we really are in unprecedented times these days and by the looks of things, we’ll be spending a lot more time indoors (aka send all of the ideas for creative activities for adults that you can find). With many storefronts closed, big box stores being overly busy and Amazon only shipping out essentials, it’s never been more convienient to support small businesses. Which is great news, because these small businesses are the ones that need our outpouring love and support as we all navigate these uncertain times.
So, when I finally started getting a bit bored, I went directly to the small shops I know and love for a few new craft ideas and inspiration. Along the way, I found a handful of amazing craft kits for adults – so naturally, I’m sharing the best ones I found here. If you are looking for something to keep your creativity going, learning a new skill or just wanting to pass the time, one of these creative activities/kits just might do the trick!

Blanc Laine | Weaving Kit + Loom for Beginners
I’m not going to lie, when I first starting considering weaving as a possible new craft to try, this loom kit immediately caught my eye. I’m a sucker for good design and this colour palette is a beaut (although there are 4 others to choose from as well). It comes with yarn and a few different weights of fibres, and all the equipment you need to finish a beautiful wall hanging. Then when you’re done, you now have the loom needed to make other beautiful pieces using youtube tutorials like this one or this one. If you like Blanc Laine, you can also check out their punch embroidery DIY kits as well – and pick up new fibre materials at the same time.
