Hi there! Thank you so much for visiting my roundtable at Alt Summit! Since I know it’s an incredibly overwhelming week, I’m recapping everything right here for you to review once you get home!
The most important thing to remember is that you can create a successful Etsy shop, even if you’ve tried and struggled in the past. Like anything, the steps I teach at the roundtable will not fix everything overnight, but they will get you on the right path, and you’ll be making strides in no time!

A Few Notes About the Etsy Marketplace
Here’s the thing about the Etsy marketplace – Etsy shoppers are ready to buy. In addition to it’s amazing built in traffic, there are also a number of other great perks for giving Etsy a try:
- People are on the hunt for unique items + gifts, and Etsy is commonly the first place they think of.
- As Etsy increases it advertising spending, more and more people are beginning to understand there is a level of quality that might not always be found by simply searching Google. They are attracting a quality over quantity type of customer.
- You do not have to make your items entirely yourself to be allowed to sell on Etsy. You do have to have some hand in creating/designing the product, but the eligibility rules have changed over the years to be more inclusive of small businesses.
- Etsy shoppers are used to longer ‘made to order’ items. You don’t have to have everything in stock to list it on Etsy – makes it a great testing ground for new products!

Etsy + Maker Business Resources
I’m always happy to share what I’ve learned with others who are hustling too. I’m writing a quick fire list of my top tools and resources (and a few suppliers) for efficiently running an Etsy shop (and creative businesses in general) – and it will go live next week. Some links are affiliate links, but they do not cost you anything – and in many cases – actually allows me to pass along additional savings to you.
