Chasing pride is a trap. For some of us, chasing the BIG thing, the milestone, the achievement, isn’t really about the progress at all. It’s more about subconsciously chasing validation… disguised as progress 🤯 Sometimes, for those of us that have a hard time celebrating our milestones, subconsciously we’re looking for ways for others to notice and celebrate for us. And in our eyes (typically) only the monumental things are big enough for that. The dream is desirable because of the outcome, the outcome is desirable because we perceive it as worthy of being proud of and worth celebrating. But what if the magic isn’t in the feeling of pride we think we might get from reaching that elusive goal. What if the magic is in the confidence we gain along the way instead. And, in knowing that anything we deem celebration worthy, is. #healingjourneys #selfcompassionjourney #whatilearned #whatilearnedtoday #healingwords #healingword #startingoveragain #healinggirlsummer #healingera #gratefulness #gratefuleveryday #therapyworks
