Whether you’re a bride, or just a lover of beautiful things – we know you’re going to love VintageLizy just as much as we do! We originally found her while searching for other local wedding vendors quite some time ago and were positively thrilled to find someone this talented located in our own back yard. I mean, isn’t it incredible when you find something amazing on Pinterest or Etsy and then find out that a) someone actually handmakes these beautiful things (so we don’t have to) and b) they are close enough that shipping isn’t required? Hip Hip Hooray for that!
VintageLizy is currently most popular for their custom wedding dress hangers (like the one we’re giving away in our contest above), which are so great for those perfect dress in the sun-drenched window photos. They make such beautiful bridal shower gifts, and I can speak from experience that the special bride in your life will truly cherish a gift like this one for a long, long time. Mine currently hangs in my spare room (displayed alongside other wedding decor), and I’m always reminded of that moment I lifted my dress off of the hanger right before putting it on. It’s such a special moment, and VintageLizy’s beautiful handmade designs fit perfectly for the occasion.
Of course, as most incredibly talented people do, Karlene didn’t limit herself to only one beautiful wedding accessory! She also focuses on custom brooch bouquets, which are just so much better than the short lived traditional ones! These can be made with brooches you may already have (think vintage & sentimental pieces that may have been handed down) or new ones from her own collection of vintage glitz and glam. We love how the touch of sparkle and pearl flows so nicely with the fabric flowers, and they photograph just as good (or better!) than the traditional bouquet. Also great for the bride on a budget, this is a bouquet that you are able to recycle to another bride once your big day is over, although we’re guessing you likely won’t want to part with it!
Finally, VintageLizy knows that behind every creative bride, is a wonderful man just waiting to look sharp on their big day. They also know that matching bridal attire *just so* can be a project and a half, so they’re working to make it just a little easier on you by offering adorable custom bowties in all types of fabrics. We’re huge fans of the double bowtie, and are actually a little big jealous we didn’t know about this option during the planning of our own wedding. Oh the countless hours spent trying to find the perfect shade to match both our decor, the men’s suits and the maid’s dresses. Oy Vay!
